Still need help? Contact & feedbackWhat is LearnOptix?
LearnOptix is a visual learning platform for optometry and ophthalmic optics. It uses interactive simulations, guides and practice activities to help you connect optical theory with practical observations.
Who can use the simulators?
Optometry students, educators, opticians and anyone studying lenses or optical instruments. Each activity is designed for self-paced exploration and works best alongside instruction or practical training.
Do I need to install software or create an account?
The interactive lens demonstration and articles on this landing page run in a modern web browser without an account. Individual simulators may have their own requirements or session features, so check each tool before starting.
Are the simulators accurate enough for real prescriptions?
Simulators are educational models. Some simplify complex optical effects to make a concept easier to visualize. They are not calibrated clinical instruments and should never replace a patient examination, professional judgment or real-world lens verification.
How does the lens-power demonstration work?
It uses an ideal thin-lens model. Positive power brings parallel rays together; negative power spreads them apart. The relationship between optical power and focal length is P = 1/f when f is in metres. The illustration is not drawn to physical scale.
How can I contact LearnOptix?
Email info@learnoptix.com for general questions, educator collaboration, and private feedback. You can also report public technical bugs through our Contact page. Please avoid sharing patient records or sensitive information by email or in public reports.
Can teachers use LearnOptix in class?
Yes. You can link students to public LearnOptix learning pages and use the simulators as teaching aids. For copying, modifying or republishing website materials, see our Terms of Use or ask for permission.
We believe understanding begins when something clicks.
LearnOptix is a visual learning platform focused on ophthalmic optics and optometry. Our goal is simple: make difficult concepts easier to explore, teach, and remember through interactive experiences.
